Program Statistics

Answer

I created a subset of the Mega Database (players over 2300), then used the new database to generate an OPENING BOOK. I have been using both the database and the opening book for several months in Chessbase 9 without ever encountering any problems.

Today I went to use the database for the first time to prepare for my game against a strong Master, and immediately encountered some inaccurate statistics. The chart at the bottom of the window reports the statistics accurately, but the tree section does not.

Chessbase 9 has been reporting statistics accurately.

As you can see from the attached screenshot, CHESSBASE 13 IS SHOWING WRONG STATISTICS. I am using exactly the same Opening Book in both programs as you can see from the tree symbols.

I use these statistics extensively to build my opening repertoire, and if the program isn't reading this book data accurately, there's no way to know if the other functions are working properly either (BEST BOOK LINE, etc.).

CB 13 displays the results always from the White side! This is the reason for the different display of the statistic view. This offers more precise information to rate the Quality of a move/variation. The behavior of CB 9 was simply illogical when the User compared the Statistics with the different Chess engines.
